Summer Math Assignments for Rising 6th - 8th Grade |
Listed below are the links containing the worksheets for each student to complete for summer math. Every problem from each worksheet is to be completed with all work shown from the problems on the printed papers. (It is not necessary to print all of the solutions.) These worksheets are due the first day of school in math class. This will be the first quiz grade for the new school year. A grade will be based on the completion of the worksheets.
Solutions are included so that your student may check his/her work after completing the problems. Your child may work through the problems until the correct solution is found, being sure to show all of the correct work along with this solution. If for some reason your child forgets a certain concept, you can visit www.classzone.com for additional help. You can follow links for middle school math in Georgia to the same lesson that is listed on the worksheet on the top right corner of the worksheet. (i.e. “1.3” on the top right hand corner denotes chapter 1, lesson 3.) For rising 6th and 7th grade, choose the middle school textbook labeled Course 1. For rising 8th graders, choose the middle school textbook labeled Course 3 (Pre-Algebra.) As you visit this website, you will find various tools to aid in working through the math. These include @Home Tutor Online, eWorkbook Plus Online, Parents as Partners, extra examples, crossword puzzles and more.
