In the fall of 2007, LCA launched a second capital campaign entitled “The Journey.”  Not only did this allow LCA the opportunity to reflect and celebrate the past ten years of God’s faithfulness but to also look forward with eager anticipation to all we have yet to experience.  Mr. Kevin O’Neal is the Director of this campaign effort and has worked with the board and administration to outline the campaign initiatives. 

The Journey encompasses three phases:

Phase 1: Student Activity Center- referred to as “The Lodge”- Completed

The Student Activity Center includes:

• Gymnasium
• Eight classrooms
• Stage for theater productions
• Space for LCA family meetings

Phase 2: Ball Fields and Infrastructure- Completed

Our fields and infrastructure includes:

• Baseball and Softball fields
• Football/Soccer field
• Addition of infrastructure
• Paved roads
• Additional parking

Phase 3: Lower School Education Building- Tentatively scheduled for construction

Construction for an additional educational building for our Lower School program will be a mirror-image of our existing Upper School education building.

What an incredible journey! It seems like only yesterday we were trusting God to make the vision of LCA become a reality. This physical campus was made possible because of families that believed in the vision of LCA and wanted to make this a reality for their children. As a result of that, families stepped out in faith and give endlessly of their time and resources.  Our children are currently reaping the benefits of their generosity. The growth we have experienced over the years has been tremendous. We expect that LCA will continue to grow in the foreseeable future. With growth comes a responsibility to provide the necessary facilities that will continue to enhance our ability to prepare students for God’s calling on their life. The aggressive plan of expansion is monumental. This project will come to fruition when individuals passionately recognize that LCA is worthy of financial support.
