"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10
The goal of the community service
program, “IMPACT” is to develop a daily lifestyle of
service by providing opportunities for leadership outside
of academics and athletics. This allows students’
spiritual gifts and talents to be used to impact our
community for Christ. It is also a time of fun and
fellowship as classmates often work together.
Students who choose to participate
may select almost any area of service. Community service
hours should be recorded on the IMPACT verification form
with a signature from a supervisory adult. This form may
be found on the US bulletin board, in the document section
of Renweb and this link. It should be kept in the student
portfolio and submitted to the advisor at designated times
of the year for review.
The school is not responsible for
securing community service opportunities for students, but
will forward information as it becomes available.
A student completing 20 hours or more
of community service within a school year will be
recognized at the end of the year.
A student completing 30 hours or more
of community service within one school year will admitted
to the honor fraternity,
Emerio. Twenty hours must be served each year for the membership
status to remain intact.
Students completing 75 hours in a
school year will receive a letter for a letter jacket.
For more information on the IMPACT
program, students may contact their advisors, Mrs. Hawkins
or Mrs. Johnson.
