Competition Cheer

Spirit Cheer

The Varsity cheerleading program
at LCA consists of competition cheerleading and spirit
cheerleading for football and basketball. They are a
multi-talented group of young ladies. While they throw
tumbling skills, build stunts, and encourage spirit on the
sidelines, their focus is to represent Christ’s spirit in
all they do. They are responsible for pep rallies,
encouraging athletes, and hosting cheer clinics with LCA’s
younger students. These ladies work hard, play hard, and
have fun!
The competition cheerleaders participate
in GISA, ICSGA, and FCC competitions. Our girls came home
as Camp champions winning 1st place in the FCC camp
championship. The girls also took the opportunity to be
leaders throughout the week by mentoring younger squads,
working hard, and having excellent attitudes. They
received FCC's highest coveted award for the 3rd year in a
row called the Spirit Award. This award is given to the
team that encourages and leads the camp in Christ-like
spirit and Christian testimony throughout camp. The girls
also received the Best Home Cheer award and a bid to
Nationals in Orlando, FL. We had a few girls shine
individually as well. Amanda Barth won the tumble jam for
her tumbling skills and Lauren Pelletier won the Jump Jam
for having the best toe touches at camp. Amanda Barth and
Allie Jones were the only 2 All-American nominees from any
school at our camp and were able to perform in the
All-American runoff. We also had 3 additional all-star
winners- Cassidy Greer, Lauren Pelletier, and Taylor
Dorsey.
During the 2010-11 competition season,
they won first place in the Spirit of Sandersville GISA
competition. In addition to the first-place finish, they
received the highest overall score out of 12 teams
competing in AA and AAA divisions.
We are looking
forward to an exciting cheerleading season full of
competitions, pep rallies, football and basketball games.
Middle School Cheerleading 2011-12

The Middle School cheerleaders cheer for football and basketball. Middle school cheerleading promotes school spirit and school unity while displaying Christ-like character and developing servant leadership qualities. These girls work very hard on building skills such as tumbling, stunting, and encouraging our athletes from the sidelines. Middle school cheerleaders strive for excellence in order to honor God and inspire people. These cheerleaders also participate in the FCC cheer camp, pep rallies, encouraging athletes, and cheer clinics with LCA younger students.
