Financial Information 2008-2009

GENERAL INFORMATION

To begin the admission process, a student must submit the application (and application fee), pastor questionnaire, teacher recommendation, and a copy of his/her educational records to LCA. Once all forms have been received, a parent interview will be scheduled. Both parents are required to attend the interview. Upon completion of the parent interview you will be notified within a week's time of your child's acceptance/denial to LCA. Students are not guaranteed a place at LCA until the registration fee has been paid and the financial contract has been received.

SUSTAINING FUND
Tuition payments cover approximately 90% of the cost to educate a student at Loganville Christian Academy. The remaining 10% is generated from donations and fundraising activities including gifts given through the sustaining fee by each family. The school may give families the ability to offset their sustaining fee by participating in school designated fundraisers. The family’s portion of the sustaining fee could be reduced by the amount each family generates through these fundraisers. All gifts to Loganville Christian Academy are tax deductible.

PAST DUE ACCOUNTS
Monthly tuition payments will be made by an automatic draft of your account. You can choose either the 5th or the 20th of each month for the draft to occur. Once that date is chosen, it will remain in  place for the balance of the school year. In the event the draft is attempted but fails to be paid due to insufficient funds, a $25.00 late charge will be applied to the tuition account and a second draft will be attempted at the school's next scheduled draft date.

Families that choose the 1 or 2-pay plan must make payments by the respective due dates or risk forfeiting the discount.

APPLICATION FEE
If a student's application has been accepted but the parents choose not to enroll, the application fee is not refundable.

TESTING FEE
Applicants for kindergarten and first grade may be required to take an admissions test when nationally recognized test results are not available. For students applying for grades 2-12, the results of a nationally recognized test taken within the last 12 months will be considered. If no such testing records are available, or if additional testing is necessary, a testing date will be scheduled. The fee is to be paid prior to testing.

REGISTRATION FEE
The registration fee is paid annually for each student and is non-refundable. The registration fee includes items such as registration materials, books, achievement testing, ACSI dues, student insurance, etc. It does not include field trips, pictures, special student activity fees, or special events. New students are required to pay the registration fee to complete the registration process. It should be noted that this fee is not purchasing the above items but helping to defray costs and if a student withdraws, these materials remain the property of LCA.

MULTI-STUDENT DISCOUNTS
Discounts are allowed on tuition for families with more than one child enrolled at LCA. The annual tuition is discounted 10% for each child after the first student. The student in the older grade will be considered the first child. A 20% discount is given for additional students following the second student. For the exact tuition rates for your family, please contact the business office.

WITHDRAWAL FEE
It is assumed you are enrolling your student for the entire year and budgets are set accordingly. If you withdraw your child before the end of the school year, a 30-day advanced written notice is required. The next month’s tuition following the last day in school will be assessed as a withdrawal fee. Report cards and/or transcripts are released to parent, or other schools only when the student’s account is paid up to date.
